This week i had another interview with Chelsea for BA Textiles on Wednesday the 23rd, i was told you leave my portfolio in a room around 9.30am. I had 23 A1 pages and two large books, i was happy with the layout of my work the day before i had spent the day at university sorting out all the pages and my books making sure everything is to my best ability, i was happy with the work but still very nervous about the whole portfolio interview as i knew it was the head of Textile BA and the head of Foundation Fashion and Textiles that would be choosing whether they thought i was capable enough for the Chelsea BA and also if i was their style of working.
We were told to come back at 4 so we spent the day in the Tate and keeping ourselves busy whilst waiting, when the time came we were brought into a small room, alphabetically and told whether we'd got a place or not, i was over the moon to hear they'd accepted me onto their course it was such a relief knowing that all the hard work and time spend researching work had really paid off and i was accepted into such a well established college.
My tutor then asked me if i would like feedback which i willingly took, i want to know how best to improve my work, what needs to be improved and what i need to tone down on because i have got two more interviews yet to come which i want to continue working just as hard for so any improvements at this stage would be a great help for me for the next two.
She told me that i would need to improve on my secondary research mainly that was the only point, she was happy with all my work she sad it had a very sophisticated and organised touch to it, well thought out colour pallets and textures through-out.
Overall i'm really happy with the work i will continue working now into my FMP (Final Major Project) and bulk up my work/improve minor faults for my next two interviews and also to get the best grade i can for my FMP, i want to work towards a Merit pass hopefully, i will work as hard as i can and hopefully achieve this.
