FMP Wednesday 9th February

On Monday we were talked to about this project and helped to brainstorm ideas in groups of three then sharing ideas with the class, this was a great help for many of us.
We got to hear what helped others and what may be able to help us and influence us in an effective and successful final project, because we're given total freedom throughout this project everyone felt at ease knowing that the project was their own therefore technically be their best work to date.

I haven't completely settled on an idea yet however i have been looking into a lot of ideas i wanted to inject colour into my work and create some really colour effective/daring pieces as I'd stayed quite neutral through out my other pieces, as i textile design student i also had to think a lot more into material usage etc.
I think the main thought around my work was natural, i wanted to link and look more into other links when it came to this word as it had so many pointers off of it, i thought organic would be a great idea.

I'd like to present Tara Donovan's simplicity to my work with an edge of organic feel to my work, whether it's the colour palette which i chose to base around forest greens, some vigorous some a lot darker seeping into browns and dark oranges or the material usage for example skeleton leaves, twigs etc.

I'm really interested in textile and tone, the look of a material and how it links to a partnered colour/patterned. I've done a lot of image research and also artists research, some of my artists work aren't based around an organic theme however from inspiration i can work my own pieces into this idea.

I'm happy with this idea being my final major project idea however it may change a little, i do really think that this idea is me and will work perfectly given the right material usage and extensive research throughout.
