It's coming to the end of the foundation course now, my tutor said the time would pass by quickly but boy did i underestimate it. Everyone's come a long way from where they were at the start of this course, some people have found this isn't for them, and a lot (including me) have struggled at times however, now being down the the last week i think we all realise how much we underestimated our work and how much we could push ourselves.
This goes for me as well, i really struggled at the start of the course, i didn't understand what it was about, i struggled to get out of that A level state of mind however now I've adjusted my own style and ability.
I'm happy to say i have One unconditional and 2 conditional offers from my universities (yes Emily only went and got herself in St.Martin's didn't she). So really it's all paid off, it's been tough and a lot of sleep has been lost in the process but it's all worth it in the end.
Now it's come down to the last week everyone's very tired, there were about 20 people in the class today, sometimes there can be alot less people are really tired now and are feeling the last push, but in a weeks done this will all be done and dusted and i can actually have some time to myself (saying that my next post will explain how that won't really be happening)
I spoke to my tutor today, i explained how i was finding it difficult now to gain more skills and develop my work without repeating myself, because i'd tried so much throughout my other projects i've ran out! Obviously i can do things differently however i want to do something that will push me to that merit pass, my work at present is a merit which i am happy with, but i want to get a merit. I need to now work for the next week to push it to that level.
I was talking to my tutor about maybe using that natural feeling i have throughout my work and my knit based work and bringing them both together, i'll work on this and see how they look then post them to my blog later in the day, i'll also be working on organising my books so theres a structured concept throughout.
